What is the importance of Dermatoscopy in follow-up?




The chance of early diagnosis of melanoma with a naked eye is 50%, while it reaches 90% with digital dermatoscopic examination. Melanoma may appear as a normal stage in a very early stage and then change its structure and color. With the recorded images on the digital dermatoscus, it is understood whether there is any change or progression in me; I was surgically removed and sent to pathological examination.

When should I scan?

General I screening should be done in middle ages where pigment cells are active and melanoma is the most common.
